You must be a college sophomore or have equivalent credits by Fall semester to be considered for full membership in that school year, and have completed 2 English, Creative Writing or applicable Johnston classes at Redlands.
You must have a 3.3 in both the English/Creative Writing major (or minor) AND general scholarship to qualify for full membership. Johnston students must submit a scholarship verification form signed by your academic advisor.
You must pay a $50 registration fee before February 1st of the school year in order to receive full membership. This fee covers international membership, graduation cords, a certificate and pin. All members, new or returning must pay $10 in dues before October 15th (or, if the date has passed, within six weeks of membership approval). These dues go toward refreshments at events and meetings, as well as a teacher of the year gift at the end of the year. Dues can be paid to Berlene Norris in the English department office, and checks should be made out to the University of Redlands.
All members must attend 75% of all meetings, including all mandatory meetings (we will have roughly 3-4 meetings per semester, and 1-2 mandatory meetings per year).
